Twiki Intranet: Main Features

The Twiki home page can be customized.

Integrated search page facilitates finding wanted content, by page title or content

A dedicated page tracks recently changed pages so readers can keep up to date quickly. There is also an opt-in email notification to alert of recent changes.

Existing content can be included programmatically. In this case content from an external web site is inserted into the template via an include statement.

Corporate information, in this case regional offices, can be managed and used throughout the program.

Security is based on Users and Groups. This is the list of Registered Users. Access and editing privileges can be assigned to individuals or restricted by department or at the individual page level.

Users can be organized by Groups to ease assignment of access privileges.

Files of any type can be uploaded and managed. These files are kept under version control as are all page revisions.

Any page within the Twiki can be edited from any browser with no other special software.

Sections with tutorials and quick start guide are included as is a "test" section for new users to practice editing.

Plug-ins provide functionality such as calendars, self sorting data tables, data tables with spread sheet functions and many other features.
